J. B. Grogan: Everybody's Cleaner
When we were organizing the Golden Rule magazines several weeks ago, we ran across this photo. The sign was left intact in the building on the east side of the Square, when the Sales Service Dept was renovated about 1980. (Seated are Sonya Gould left and Connie Gray.)
J B Grogan and Virgil Moore purchased the clothes -cleaning establishment on the south side of the square, known as the Lawrenceville Sanitary Cleaning Co about August 22, 1912. Through- out the next few years Grogan periodically advertised the business with the slogan “Everybody’s Cleaners.” Note the phone number is 112.
