Johnny Carson said the worst gift was a fruitcake. "There was only one fruitcake in the entire world, and people kept sending it to each other." If you are not familiar with fruitcake, it’s a cake made with dried fruits and nuts. It’s often soaked in rum or brandy which gives it a unique flavor. You either like it or you don’t. But you could buy one in Lawrenceville at the Paris Bakery in 1960.
